New founding law broadens CNDH mandate

 

The Dahir n° 1-18-17 of the Joumada II, 1439 (22 February 2018) promulgating the law n° 76-15 on the reorganization of the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) was published in the Official Gazette No. 6652 on 1 March 2018. In addition to a broader human rights mandate at local and national levels, the CNDH is now designated as: National Preventive Mechanism Against Torture; Redress Mechanism for Children; Disability Rights Monitoring Mechanism.
