The National Council for Freedoms and Human Rights, Libya

The CNDH and the (Libyan) National Council for Freedoms and Human Rights signed, on the 16th of June 2013, an agreement to foster mutual cooperation to strengthen the independence of these two institutions, promote the culture of human rights in both Morocco and Libya, encourage the establishment of national human rights institutions throughout the world, exchange experience and best practices in the area of human rights and transitional justice.

The two NHRIs are encouraged under this agreement to exchange publications and technical and technological expertise in the handling of complaints, the harmonization of national legislation with international conventions and other matters relating to their prerogatives as well as cooperation to developing strategies for the protection of human rights in both countries.
