CNDH Chairman’s working visit to Oslo, Norway

CNDH Chairman Driss El Yazami is paying a two-day official visit to Oslo, Norway, (10-11 Sep 2015) to discuss human rights in Morocco and Norway with top Norwegian officials.

Mr. El Yazami will meet at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) with State Secretary Mr. Bård Glad Pedersen and Ms Tine Mørch Smith, Deputy Director General at MFA’ Department for Regional Affairs.

CNDH Chairman is also expected to meet with the leadership of the Council on Ethics, Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global, the Norwegian National Institution for Human Rights, the Ombudsman, the Equality and Anti-Discrimination Ombudsman, the Norwegian Helsingfors Committee and Norway’s National Contact Point for the OECD guidelines (for multinational enterprises).

These meetings will be an opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interests in the area of human rights, including national human rights mechanisms in Morocco and Norway, human rights education and the promotion of the culture of human rights, business and human rights, equality and anti-discrimination, UN mechanisms, migration and the protection of human rights, regional challenges including security and stability in North Africa, etc.
