LAAYOUNE: TRAINING SESSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION
The Regional Human Rights Commission of Laayoune Essmara organized, in partnership with the Regional Academy of Education and Training in the region of Laayoune-Boujdour-Sakia El Hamra, a training session entitled: “Integrating human rights based approach in school administrations and references and essential tools for human rights education.” The session took place on 10-12 January 3012 at the headquarters of the Academy in Laayoune.
This training session is organized in line with Laayoune-Essmara Commission’s plan of action. Capacity building in the area of human rights is one of the priority concerns of the commission.
30 staff members representing the said Regional Academy and the regional offices of the Ministry of National Education in Laayoune, Boujdour, Terfaia and Essmara and 30 teachers from the same provinces participated in this training session.
Several relevant presentations dealing with the promotion of human rights x at schools and the adoption of the human rights based approach were scheduled for this session.
