In collaboration with Handicap International, the Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) is organizing, on 14 May 2009, an international seminar on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol.

The seminar, which will be an opportunity to assess the national initiatives taken in support of the rights of persons with disabilities in Morocco compared with the standard provisions of the Convention and to propose appropriate recommendations in the field, aims to address the standard aspect of the Convention and its Protocol as well as their mechanisms of implementation, follow-up and monitoring.

The meeting will see the participation of human rights associations, economic players, and national and international experts.
